Newborn Twin boys

Carter and Blake came to visit me at 2 weeks new over a year ago (yes I’m still playing catch up on my blog 🙂 ).  They are children 4&5 for their parents and much adored.  They were fabulously well behaved for their session.  I love how different they look, one blonde and one brunette.

Mentoring Student – Susan Sharpes

Susan Sharpers from Susan Sharpes Photography came to mentor with me in April 2014. She traveled from Tauranga to learn from me.  It has been a pleasure to watch Susan’s work develop and to see her learning continue through the FB group that I offer after the mentoring.

Here is her review of the mentoring:

I had heard from a couple of fellow photography friends about the amazing workshop they had attended with Amy, and how they had learnt so much.  I was looking to better my skills and knowledge of newborn photography so it was a no-brainer to take the plunge – put the lens I was wanting on the back burner and invest in my future. In April 2014 I traveled up to Auckland for my 1:1 mentoring.


The workshop was worth every cent… I spent a whole day with Amy and the time flew by so quickly.

Amy taught me about studio lighting and angles (that very next day I ordered my own set of studio lights and the consistency of lighting makes shooting and editing a breeze.
Amy shared her settling tips and how to transition through the poses with ease and efficiency. Her tips and editing have made my workflow so much easier and faster.

Amy is so calm and patient, and so generous with her knowledge which doesn’t stop when you leave either. She is always on hand to offer encouragement, support and advise. I would highly recommend Amy’s newborn workshop you will not regret it.

Sweet Newborn Girl

Skylar came to Auckland based home studio to be photographed when she was just 9 days old.  A gorgeous little newborn who slept so well, and even showed me her beautiful eyes as well.

These first two shots are taken on top of Skylar’s mum’s wedding dress.  I love how beautiful these shots look, and also that they have great meaning for Skylar’s parents.

Gorgeous Newborn Girl

I photographed Angela at just 7 days new.  She was the first newborn I photographed in January this year.  Such a stunning little girl.

Newborn Twin Girls

I photographed newborn twin girls Harper and Kenzie when they were 4 weeks old.  They were such a great sleepers.  We got a variety of great poses out of them, both individual poses and poses together.   Such gorgeous little girls.
